James Madison University and Penn State

James Madison was a great campus. I felt bad that the chapter members had so much going on with the end of the semester, finishing up classes and starting finals. A few of them told me that they were living in the library that week!

Yesterday I traveled from James Madison to Penn State.

Flights: 2, Charlottesville, VA to Dulles and Dulles to State College
Baggage Fees: *none*! Since I traveled from Thanksgiving on only 2 chapter visits I left out some things that would have been included; black dress for preference, white dress for ritual ceremonies, white shoes for ritual. I also do not have full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc. I wish that they made a size bigger than travel, smaller than a normal bottle, that would last me for two or three weeks, sadly, I have not found that. My suitcase was 48.5 pounds so I just squeezed by! But it felt so great, not to pay out of my own pocket at an airport ticket counter... the first time it has happened since I started traveling!

I arrived at the State College airport, and then was taken to campus. The chapter has a great suite in one of the dorm buildings. The sisters live on the 4th floor and the suite is on the ground floor. This is where they have meetings, do recruitment and have sisterhoods. Since I am staying in the chapter suite, I anticipate alot of elevator rides in a towel this week to and from the shower. I know there will be interesting interactions in the early morning hours.

They planned to take me to a Men's basketball game against Temple University in the Bryce Jordan Center. It was a really good game, but Penn State lost. I don't think that I have ever been to a campus as large as Penn State so it is great to see. Its such a busy week for the students, again the timing is bad, but I hope I get to see all the the University has to offer.
