So, I did it! I arrived at the Mable Lee Walton House in beautiful Woodstock, VA yesterday. I think I was the most excited of all of the consultants, and I just kept walking around saying... "I can't believe I'm really here! I cant believe I am at Walton House!
There is so much history, every corner that you turn, that was one of the founders teapots, that is a composite from one of our earliest chapters, that is Mable Lee Walton's desk-left in the condition that she last worked on it... it just keeps getting better at every turn.
If you want to take a look at what/where I am talking about click on the Sigma website, SigmaSigmaSigma.org and click the link for "Headquarters" and you will be able to take a virtual tour.
Its been great to settle in and touch base with the other LC's to catch up on what has been happening to all of us since we last saw each other at the Hazing Prevention workshop. I'm glad that coming here I had friends to welcome me, and not strangers who would turn into friends.
